Neways Provides Hygienic Basics to Missouri Tornado Survivors
SPRINGVILLE, UTAH (May 27, 2011)—In response to the tornado that recently struck Joplin, Missouri, Neways has donated over $12,000 in retail products to help bring relief. Neways North America partnered with Feed the Children, a nonprofit relief organization, to ship and distribute hygiene items. Neways donated daily hygienic basics such as shaving gel, hair conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, and other needed items.
“We are grateful for our partnership with Neways,” said Feed the Children spokesperson Tony Sellars. “They are always ready to step up and contribute in crisis situations. The items provided are much needed by people who, in many cases, have lost everything.”
“When Feed the Children reached out to us, we were more than happy to help them on their quest to bring relief to those who have suffered,” said Jennifer Wolbers, Neways VP of sales and marketing. “We’ve done another donation with them in the past, and we’ve been impressed at their prompt response and the great outreach they have.”
The Joplin tornado received the highest tornado rating and killed at least 116 people. Neways asks that others who can donate do so at Feed the Children or other reputable organizations.
“Whenever possible, Neways considers it a priority to respond to suffering, whether at home or abroad,” said Scott St. Clair, Neways CEO. “We are fortunate that we’re able to provide much-needed aid to the victims of disasters.”
