New: ESSENTIAL LOOKS features local heroes on stage
A breath taking catwalk show featuring live cuts and stylings and the famous look and learn seminars were the highlights of the two day programme. Showcasing Global Ambassadors Lesley Lawson and Tyler Johnston as well as Schwarzkopf Professional’s visionary Creative Director Steve Hogan, the event held the promise to inspire and inform, translate and teach. This time the show introduced a new concept by inviting selected international hairdressers to join the Global Ambassadors on stage. The “local heroes” had the chance to present their local commercial ESSENTIAL LOOKS trend interpretation. Many “local heroes” are Schwarzkopf Professional Hairdressing Award winners or members of the Schwarzkopf Professional creative teams in countries all over the world. They unite expertise in creative cut and colour techniques, visionary qualities and have established a strong image within their market.
Among the selected candidates for the premiere of the new “local heroes” concept were Andy Smith – England, Laurent Delafoy – France, Salva G – Spain, Guy de Waen – Belgium, Michael Fehlmann – Switzerland, Adrian Xhaferi – Germany, Javier Romero – Mexico, Cinthia Guzmán Nuñez – Peru, Dieter Kaiser – MEA and CEE regions, Johan Christensen – Sweden, Mitsuru Itakura – Japan and Kathy Simon – Canada.
Barcelona in the spotlight – where culture, architecture and arts meet
With Barcelona, the ESSENTIAL LOOKS team found just the perfect location for this spectacular show. The unique city has a dynamic and open personality, an own way of life and offers an incomparable range of arts and culture, thinking of Gaudi or Picasso, making it a truly fitting backdrop for this exceptional event.
The ESSENTIAL LOOKS Show and the legendary after party took place at famous “Fira Barcelona” on July 1st and the look and learn seminars were held at the emblematic venue “Cúpula las Arenas” on 2nd of July 2012. The location is privileged, both in terms of the building itself (in the centre of Barcelona’s Plaza de España) and the building’s dome. About 27 metres high, the cupola enjoys magnificent views of Barcelona and is one of the largest domes in Europe.
